Maybe because of the MV and because JYJ perform it so well that it doesn't bore me. :) I also liked CREATION a lot because Junsu's vocals blew me away in that song. The rest of the songs, I pretty much agree with you. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9017678973431004838.post-33611445061432772412014-08-02T13:19:22.868+08:002014-08-02T13:19:22.868+08:00Thanks for the review. Overall I found the album to be solid, and reflective of the title JUST US. If anything BACK SEAT was the most unfitting song, lighter in terms of content than their usual fare. Their solo songs whilst as the first commenter has pointed out seems similar to Junsu and Jaejoong's solo tracks, is appropriate as a reflection of where they've come as solo artists, and also as individuals.

I don't have any experience with music production, so just based on my listening experience it seems that JYJ have consistently been failed by subpar production, as The Beginning shows. It's a little frustrating as a fan, but I would rather have good vocals and bad production rather than the other way round any day. The latter can be improved on, and I feel like JUST US shows they are improving steadily in that area. For me (personally), it's indeed a weak and disappointing lead single. The only reason I will listen to this song over and over is just to listen to their vocals. Nothing else.

I have not pay enough attention to the whole album, but all of the solo tracks is good and really fit each member's character. It's understandable though. Both 7years & Dear J is like a straight copy (maybe with a little modifications) of 11am & Just Another Girl, which are one of the top songs in Junsu & Jaejoong album. Talking of Yoochun's solo, I consider it as the second coming of "This Song is Funny, Right?" from Junsu last album, except the fact that this one is a bit more seriously arranged. So yeah... I also don't really like that song, but it's still unique and interesting.

Currently, my most favorite song on this album is So So... 'cause I'm a sucker of dramatic ballad.Fadhil Asyrafihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12336301868364647645noreply@blogger.com
